The Team
John HendersonIt was John who had the original idea to hold a village car show which resulted in our first show in 2015, and is the knowledged team leader. John is a retired senior executive with boundless energy levels, a great eye for detail and drives the agenda forwards relentlessly. John picks up many of the organisational responsibilities including entry registrations, the licensed bar and catering concessions. On the day he will be everywhere at once! John is actively supported by his wife Susan both in the planning and on the day.

Campbell NewlandsCampbell runs a successful audio-visual supply and servicing company but still finds time to take an active part in organising the BCCS. Campbell has donated the very impressive public address system to the BCCS and on the day will share his time stewarding Exhibitors and their classic vehicles and ensuring the PA system is operational

Lee ButlerLee works with Keith on communications. It is no secret that Keith is a liability when it comes to IT and Lee has the unenviable task of managing the website and providing technical help and support (AKA 'keeping Keith's fingers off the website ::) ).
Lee is a practitioner of acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine and runs The Village Clinic in Blackthorn. Lee is married to Lou and is Dad to Lily, Freddy and Poppy. Lee can be found on the day, in his favourite spot parking up late entrants. |
John ThompsonJohn has been a resident of Blackthorn Village for 24 years.
He has a keen interest in Classic Cars and has owned a 1966 Mercedes 230SL for the past 20 years. He also owns a 1975 Lancia Fulvia Coupe which is a more recent acquisition. The automotive world absorbs most of his time as he has spent the last 30 years working as a design engineer in Motorsport. |
Mark Bradford. Our newest team member and a recent resident of the village. Mark's energy and enthusiasm are a welcome addition to the 2018 team
